My goal is to make our time together fun & memorable! What better way than to set you up for success, before we meet. Here are some helpful tips, best practices, and details about my processes. I promise to go above and beyond for all my clients. If you have any specific questions not covered here, please email me at: email@example.com
Q: How should I pose for my pictures? Where should I look?
A: Generally, I tell all my clients to pretend as if I am not there. The best photos are ones of you in the moment, laughing, looking off to the side, looking at each other, etc. I find the most beautiful photos happen naturally when you are paying attention to each other, rather than the camera. However, we will get a few 'posed' photos of you smiling and looking at the camera too. If you aren't sure what to do, I will provide posing direction to help you look your best!
Q: What should I wear to my session?
A: Rule of thumb: Less is more and simple is best. Darker/solid colors work well. Avoid wearing all busy patterns, bold strips, plaids or polka dots, clothing that’s too tight or too baggy. These all bring more attention to your clothes, rather than your face. Avoid clothing with pictures, writing or large logos on them (for example, graphic t-shirts). For group and family photos, try wear similar colors that are part of the same color family/theme. Pick colors and clothing that’s comfortable and looks good on you. Bring a great attitude to the portrait session. If you are relaxed, and your eyes and smile are genuinely friendly, your portrait will be too!
*No Cell Phone Policy: If you have friends or family who will be joining us, I have a strict no cell phone policy during our portrait session. Meaning, friends & family will not be able to take photos while I am taking pictures.
Q: We nailed it! Now when can I see my photos?
A: Within a few days of our session or your wedding, I like to share some 'sneak peeks' with you. I typically share some of my favorite photos & more about your love story on my Facebook page.
Q: When will all my photos be ready?
A: For a portrait session, photos are ready within 1-2 weeks. For weddings, photos are ready within 4-6 weeks.
Q: Do you edit the photos? How are they delivered?
A: Yes, I do minimal photo editing. That means, I do color enhancements, cropping, and minimal retouching. During our session and/or your wedding, I will try different set-ups, change up compositions, and solve any lighting issues. Afterwards, I select the best photos and work with each selection to bring it to its full potential. Your photos are then presented in a stunning, online gallery for viewing, sharing and downloading purposes.
Q: Who owns the copyrights to the photos?
A: The copyright of photographs remains with me (the Photographer). However, I give you (the Client) permission to make copies of the images under the following conditions. The images taken by the Photographer are for personal use by the Clients and their friends and relatives. Sale, Publication or any Commercial use of the photographs is not allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer.
