A Wedding Story: Scott & Chris

Mt. Bonnell Wedding Photography in Austin

Scott and Chris meet about 6 years ago in Taiwan. Scott was living there and attending school. Shortly there after, Scott started a substitute teaching job. While at the school teaching English, he meet a beautiful girl named Chris. He knew there was something special about her. From there, they started emailing each other and a relationship soon blossomed.

These two planned a spontaneous wedding on Friday, Dec 2nd. They kept things short, sweet and simple. They traveled to Austin looking for a beautiful spot to get married at, and they found Mt. Bonnell, overlooking the river. The bride, Chris wore a beautiful red wedding dress. Red is the color for good luck and celebration in Chinese & Japanese cultures. The ceremony was just the two of them, shared by the officiant and your’s truly. It was a real honor to be part of their special day! Here are some of my favorites.

A Wedding Story: Dessimber & John

Austin Wedding Photography at the Wildflower Barn

Dessimber & John's story started several years ago, when they met in San Antonio. They connected over their love of art. John works at a coffee shop, and Dessimber is a nurse. These two are both warm, caring and genuinely good people. Working with this couple, reminds me why I do what I do--because I love making real connections with my couples. I can call these two friends now and I'm looking forward to watching their love grow!

John and Dessimber got married at the beautiful Wildflower Barn, in Driftwood Texas on Saturday, November 19th. I have to say, their wedding was one of the best weddings I've been too. I don't know if it was the cold weather, hot chocolate, smoores or the happy vibes in the air, but it brought everyone closer together. Dessimber and John put so much thought into the details and made their guests feel like their number one priority. Dessimber handmade the invitations. They incorporated handwritten signs, fall elements, wood workings and colorful embellishments to tie it all together to make it feel like an enchanted forest. Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous, intimate, and unique to their personalities. Congratulations you two!! <3

A Wedding Story: Lindsey & Danny

UMLAUF Sculpture Gardens Wedding Photography

Lindsey and Danny have a beautiful love story. They bonded over their passion of the outdoors, going on adventures and traveling together. They are both laid-back, friendly, warm and gracious people. They are similar by nature. It might sound cliché, but I think they really are perfect for each other. :)

They got married at the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens in Austin, Texas on, Nov 12th (my birthday). It was a beautiful ceremony, in such a beautiful and mysterious garden. They had a colorful display of food and fruit, and a smoore bar! They displayed some disposable cameras, so their guests could take pictures too. Lindsey & Danny were surrounded by so much love that night, from their family and friends. This family had the best speeches, prepared with witty stories about the couple and their lives. It was a happy celebration and union of two amazing families. I am so happy for you both, congratulations!
